As Notre Dame de Paris reopened following restoration, chocolate brand Valrhona seized the moment to merge French heritage with haute gastronomy, right at the pulse of Terminal 1 at Paris–Charles de Gaulle Airport. The challenge was transforming a fleeting travel stop into a sensory cultural encounter celebrating craftsmanship, tradition, and a little chocolate magic.
Strategy & Insight

The strategy was to blend culinary artistry with architectural grandeur, offering a premium, immersive activation to prompt awe and indulgence. The goal was to create a cultural touchpoint where chocolate was experienced, remembered, and rooted in French excellence.

The solution

The activation's centrepiece was a monumental 2.25-metre-long chocolate sculpture of Notre Dame, meticulously crafted by Baptiste Moreau, former pastry chef at L’École Valrhona Paris.

Travellers could sip Valrhona’s signature hot chocolate, personalise their gift creations at a live Gift Atelier with on-site ribbon printing, and shop limited-edition praline gift boxes and chocolate bars featuring intricate Notre Dame designs in Paris-themed, gold-accent packaging.
