Delivering a tasty Smart Mass Sampling campaign for Bakers Dog Food’s target audience and their four-legged friends at a key sales period – Christmas.

Drawing on our deep sampling expertise, we partnered with Amazon to deliver a hyper-targeted, audience-first solution using its rich data and eCommerce capabilities. By targeting our audience with perfectly timed online ads, we could ensure we sent samples to those interested in the product and actually wanted to try it.

Our approach included:

• Precision audience targeting based on key behaviours and interests.

• Post-sample retargeting with eCommerce Display ads to drive conversion to purchase after trial.

The solution

Managing the campaign from end-to-end, over 12 days, we smashed out a logistical masterpiece with:

• Building a bespoke sampling portal from scratch

• Delivering sample boxes containing a 1.2kg bag of Bakers Adult Dog Food Beef & Vegetable to nearly 10,000 households.

• Setting aside reserve sample boxes in case of missing or damaged samples, ensuring a smooth customer experience.
