


Commuters are a captive audience: rushing, waiting, queuing, scrolling. They rarely expect luxury to show up mid-journey, which makes the moment even more attention-grabbing.
We leaned into that unexpectedness.
The strategy: flip the train station from a functional through-space into a theatrical discovery zone. Build a brand world that interrupts the daily commute and turns transit time into “ooh, what’s that?” time.


The Scandal Express steamed into major French train stations as an immersive pop-up that felt more like live theatre than a fragrance activation.
The build mixed gold accents, bold branding and a signature Scandal scent to create instant Gaultier drama, while vintage-style paper boys stirred intrigue by handing out branded newspapers across the forecourt.
A flavoured water bar encouraged travellers to pause before diving into the fragrance discovery zones, where ambassadors guided them through Scandal Intense with the brand’s trademark rebellious flair.
