There's nothing we love more than an outdoor cinema activation, so we were delighted to be involved in Tesco's Adventure Drive-in tour, bringing socially distanced cinema to towns all over the country this summer. At each one of the 160 screenings, 100 front row spaces are reserved for the families of NHS workers and for Tesco employees who have been working in-store throughout the nationwide lockdown.
Tesco's Chief Customer Officer, Alessandra Bellini, said: “Over the past months, key workers across the UK have selflessly stepped forward and played a vital role in keeping us all safe and the nation running. We wanted to do a little something to recognise their incredible efforts and say thank you."
It's been amazing to see such positive customers reactions whilst enjoying having sampling back in store, with fantastic uplift results too!
We are all fans of the new Maynards Bassetts, and loved working with the team over at Mondelēz to sample the new Super Fruit Jellies in Tesco stores across the country.
With stringent hygiene measures in place, customers were able to take a sealed sample pot to try there and then, or take back to enjoy from the comfort of their own home. With over 14,000 samples taken, we call that sweet success!
Once again employing enhanced health & safety measures, we visited Tesco stores to actively sell and sample the Mini Cheddars Mexican range. This new product from Pladis adds a spicy kick to the original favourite that is expected to appeal to younger shoppers.
And it seems customers are eager to embrace the reintroduction of in-store activity - 4 out of every 5 customers approached were willing to stop, talk and consider tasting the new range - or even putting one in their trolley!
We've got loads more planned too. If you'd like to see your product stealing the limelight in Tesco stores as we ramp up to the crucial Christmas period, get in touch today.
