Sainsbury's / PHD Media - Store Launches and Field Marketing Activities

Through PHD Media, N2O first started supplying Field Marketing Personnel to Sainsbury's in December 2000. Over four years on and N2O continues to meet the demands of both companies, supplying Sainsbury's with Event Managers, Pole Holders, Sandwich Board and Leafleting Personnel on a daily basis.

Maintaining and cementing its position as one of the top four UK grocery retailers is a tough task, and one that N2O's carefully chosen Promotional Personnel understand. Across the UK, N2O conduct extensive outdoor Field Marketing for Sainsbury's new store openings, store re-fits and counter-competition activity. For existing stores, N2O also handle a variety of concessionary programmes, including Persil, Fuji and Starbucks.

Dressed smartly in black and navy uniform with branded caps and badges, N2O's Sainsbury's Team work on activities across a range of times, often being on location from 6.30am to 7.30pm. Each activity involves full store liaison, including Store Manager feedback and post activity reporting.

Phones 4U - Retail Events and Roadshows

In the hugely competitive mobile communications market, Phones 4U have achieved meteoric growth since their inception, resulting from an aggressive sales strategy and a great deal of hard work.

To maximise footfall into stores, and therefore increase sales potential, Phones 4U were convinced of the need to run a retail events programme across their 350 stores. So, Phones 4U invited five agencies to pitch for their business, and, in 2001, N2O were appointed after a testing selection and initial trial period.

Running events across England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, supporting everything from store launches to just busy days in the shopping calendar; a typical weekend for N2O means over 100 personnel in-store, made up of DJ/Presenters, Entertainers, Promotional Personnel and Balloon Arches. Key to the success of this activity, is the partnership approach taken by both Phones 4U and N2O, and the consistent high performance of N2O Personnel.

Cafédirect / CBH - 5056 Launch Campaign

For the launch of Café Direct's 5065 instant freeze dried coffee, N2O was appointed to provide experienced Sampling Teams and associated services for a substantial dry sampling campaign.

Phase One comprised six sampling teams consisting of one Team Leader and five Team Members located at six London Mainline Train Stations. Phase Two involved 14 sampling teams consisting of one Team Leader and three Team Members located at 14 London Tube Stations across the city.

N2O conducted the activity briefing on behalf of Café Direct and supplied branded uniforms, sample bags and helium balloons to maximise the effectiveness of the activity.

Revs Magazine / EMAP - Models for Revs Magazine

Appointed by Revs Magazine in February 2001, N2O has worked closely with the Revs Editorial team ever since.

In addition to supplying Photographic Models for the Magazine, Revs asked N2O to put together a squad of Promotional Models to attend exhibitions and other events to build the brand and to create a following. A combination of clever marketing from the Revs team and hard work on the part of the Models has seen the 'Revs Babes', as they are now known, rise to fame.

The magazine is now a leading player in the modified cars market.

Kellogg's / Carlton Screen Advertising - Kellog's Crunchy Nut Red Launch

Supporting the TV launch of their new cereal, 'Crunchy Nut Red', Kellogg's undertook a massive nationwide cinema sampling activity.

As Carlton Screen Advertising's incumbent agency, N2O was tasked with project managing the campaign, including handling the logistics of deliveries of over 900,000 samples. The activity was conducted across 70 major cinemas, and was staffed by over 400 attractive Sampling Personnel each evening across two weekends.

Kellogg's were thrilled with the outcome and congratulated Carlton Screen Advertising and N2O on a job well done.

Sony UK / MICE Plc - Live2001 - NEC

For the third year in succession, Sony appointed N2O to provide its exhibition personnel for Live2001, with a brief for ten attractive Birmingham-based Promotional Models, each having experience in demonstrating electronic products.

Despite tight timescales, the required number of suitable personnel were selected, appointed and trained.

The show went ahead as planned, and Sony was delighted with the team's performance.
