Samsonite Europe - Instore Demonstrating and Sales
May 02 to Jun 02

Samsonite Europe decided to embark on an in-store demonstration campaign to drive up sales of its new range of luggage, during the crucial pre-summer period. Having had good experience of working with N2O previously, albeit on a smaller scale, Samsonite engaged N2O to provide the Sales Demonstration Personnel.

The campaign was conducted for six weeks across 36 House of Fraser stores. Key metrics for Samsonite were the number of people who received a demonstration, the number of competition entries and the number of sales that resulted from a demonstration.

All targets were met and Samsonite were thrilled with the uplift in sales generated by N2O's campaign.

Max Power Live / Haymarket - Max Power Live Show 2002 - NEC
Jul 02

Following the huge success of Max Power Live 2001, N2O received numerous repeat orders for Promotional Models and other Event Personnel for the 2002 show. In addition, the show's organisers, Haymarket Exhibitions, listed N2O in the brochure as the show's official supplier of Event Personnel. As a result, N2O had 82 personnel present at Max Power Live across the three days.

In 2002, N2O were also involved in organising the Max Power Babe competition. Key tasks included scheduling and interviewing applicants, recommending qualifiers and managing disappointment! The competition was huge success.

N2O would like to thank all who worked at the show for their hard work. Bring on next Max Power Live 2003!

Harvey's Bristol Cream / CBH - 'Harvey' Over Ice' Supermarket Sampling Tour
Apr 02 to Jul 02

Following on from several successful sampling activities at County Shows, a three-month Supermarket Sampling activity was proposed to promote the drinking of Harvey's Bristol Cream sherry with ice, as a refreshing summer aperitif. The concept was worked up by CBH and was given the go-ahead.

N2O set about creating the sampling environment from the creative brief provided by CBH. A suitably impressive 4.2m mobile sampling unit was sourced from Germany, fitted out in stainless steel and fully wrapped in vinyl graphics. This, together with branded parasols, deck chairs, garden tables, fifty square meters of colour coordinated decking and a whole host of other props, faithfully recreated the 'oasis' in the CBH visual.

With the client delighted by the successful and smooth running N2O Supermarket Sampling Road Show, the activity was extended, and visited County Shows and outdoor concerts in July and August.

Wella Vivality / Carlton - Wella Vitality Cinema Sampling Campaign
Apr 02

Following the launch of Wella Vivality earlier in the year, a large-scale booster sampling campaign was scheduled to take place on one evening across 200 UK cinemas. Each cinema had two or three attractive N2O Sampling Personnel handing out samples. Wella's marketing agency, Marketing Drive, was very specific regarding the criteria of the personnel booked for the activity. Each Sampling Personnel team member had to have beautiful long hair, be within a provided age range and be extremely well presented. Once selected by N2O, all personnel then had to be approved by Marketing Drive.

None of these profiling criteria presented a problem for N2O, who supplied a presentation to Marketing Drive, containing images and a profile of each potential Sampling Personnel team member, well ahead of the event.

N2O's selection of Sampling Personnel were perfect, and the campaign ran perfectly, receiving congratulations for its effectiveness.

Max Power Live / Haymarket - Max Power Live 2002 Babe Squad Tour
Apr 02 to Jun 02

Following on from the success of last years' 'Max Star Babe' tour, N2O were asked to organise this year's tour in support of Max Power Live 2002.

N2O used the same format as the previous year's winning formula: two teams of four high calibre Promotional Models, each managed by an experienced Event Manager. N2O created the route plan, which took in six cities and 24 pre-arranged venues, with each venue being fully merchandised and briefed prior to being visited.

The tour lasted ten weeks and included supporting activity at 'Cruises' and other events where the target market congregate. Ticket sales for Max Power Live 2002 were even higher than in 2001.

The Telegraph / River Advertising - Telegraph Magazine Distribution
Apr 02 to Jun 02

River Advertising has been responsible for the railway station activity conducted each year by The Daily Telegraph. Disappointed with previous agencies, River put the staffing element out to tender, and N2O was awarded the business.

This campaign involves distributing small magazines that contain quality articles exemplifying the writing to be found in the newspaper. The campaign is conducted at railway stations targeting commuters. Thus, each activity requires a presence from 7am to 7pm each day.

The initial campaign covered 32 railway stations. N2O constructed a detailed project plan to ensure that the optimum number of personnel were on duty during each 12 hour shift. River has used N2O as its field marketing and staffing partner ever since.
